The Opportunity
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Trainee Hinge Joint Operator to join a well-established company in Wellingborough. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who enjoy hands-on work in a fast-paced, team-focused environment and are keen to contribute to a growing business.
You'll be reporting directly to the Production Manager.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure that equipment is set in accordance with setting instructions to meet production plans,
Prepare and organise production runs in accordance with production plans provided,
Maintain the machine if approved to do so, and repair machinery breakdowns,
Pack product being produced and ensure presentation is of a high standard and correctly labelled,
Follow all Health & Safety procedures at all times.
Work collaboratively with colleagues and supervisors to meet daily production targets.
Candidates must demonstrate strong initiative and the ability to think on their feet.
Ideally You Will Have
Have a minimum of 2 years' machine operating experience in a fast moving manufacturing environment.
Have excellent communication skills with a methodical approach to team work.
Be flexible and have experience of continuous improvement.
Be able to demonstrate an aptitude to learn, be self motivated and be capable of lending support and encouragement to team members.
Be organised to be able to cope with multiple tasks and priorities in a fast moving environment with a high commitment to quality.
Above average numerical and literacy skills.
Be able to operate lifting equipment.
Have the ability to use calipers and micrometer measuring equipment.
Ability to heavy lift.
