The Role
Sofina Foods is seeking dedicated and reliable Pickers/Trainers to join our day shift team. You will have the opportunity to work in our Factory as well as our Warehouse over the 3 working days.
Working Tuesday to Thursday, 11am-11pm.
As part of the Warehouse function, you'll play a vital role in supporting production and distribution by accurately picking, loading, and handling goods in line with customer expectations and safety standards. As part of the factory function, you'll have a hands-on role working in our trim room - this give you the chance to play a vital part in crafting quality products that reach customers across the UK and beyond.
Working directly with experienced leaders, you'll help ensure our high standards of safety, efficiency, and product quality are consistently met – all while contributing to a positive team culture and a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Your Key Responsibilities
* Accurately pick and palletise products in line with daily order sheets
* Operate MHE (Material Handling Equipment) where required
* Perform de-racking, racking, and loading activities with care and precision
* Maintain excellent standards of housekeeping within the warehouse
* Adhere to all Health & Safety and food safety regulations
* Support cross-functional activities as needed depending on volume and workflow
* Contribute to a culture of teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement
* Handle raw sliced bacon and confidently identify different cuts such as prime and neck end
* Inspect finished products for quality, ensuring labels are correct, seals are clean, and packaging is intact
* Take ownership of housekeeping in your area, maintaining standards under our 'clean as you go' policy
* Build and maintain strong working relationships with colleagues across the production floor
The Ideal Candidate
* We're looking for dependable, team-focused individuals with a strong attention to detail.
* Experience in warehouse or logistics (desirable but not essential)
* MHE training is desirable
* A team-oriented approach and a positive attitude
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise effectively
* A commitment to 100% order accuracy and excellent productivity
* The flexibility to support other departments when required
* Familiar with retailer product standards and quality expectations (preferred)
* Trained in basic food hygiene or willing to complete this training
* Organised, reliable, and attentive to detail
* A strong team player with a positive and proactive mindset
