Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Lifting Equipment Engineer to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, testing, certification, and installation of lifting equipment used across a wide range of engineering projects. You will play a key role in ensuring compliance with LOLER regulations and promoting a culture of safety and excellence.
Key Responsibilities
* Inspect, test, and certify lifting equipment in accordance with LOLER and PUWER regulations
* Maintain accurate records of inspections and certifications
* Diagnose faults and carry out repairs or replacements as necessary
* Assist in the planning and supervision of lifting operations
* Collaborate with project teams to ensure correct selection and use of lifting gear
* Ensure compliance with company safety procedures and client requirements
* Provide technical support and training where required
Essential Requirements
* Proven experience as a Lifting Equipment Engineer or Lifting Technician
* Knowledge of current LOLER, PUWER, and health & safety standards
* LEEA (or equivalent) certification preferred
* Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills
* Ability to read technical drawings and specifications
* Full clean driving licence and willingness to travel
Desirable
* Experience in the pharmaceutical or data centre industries
* Familiarity with site-based installation and rigging practices
* IPAF, CSCS/Safe Pass, and Manual Handling certificates
