Expenses Assistant
£35,000 + hybrid working (2 days in the office, 3 from home)

We’re working with a leading international services business to recruit an Expenses Assistant to join their growing Professional Services team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in accounting administration, reconciliations, or expense management who’s looking to develop their career in a supportive and collaborative environment.
The Role
Reporting to the Operations Lead, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of expenses, payments, and data across multiple systems.
You’ll support the setup and administration of client accounts, ensure all costs are correctly captured and billed, and help manage international payments and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure timely and accurate delivery of financial and expense data
Reconcile data across different technology platforms and resolve discrepancies
Support the process for requesting and making client payments
Assist in the setup of new client accounts and system access
Prepare and process invoices, ensuring correct fees and details are applied
Manage rent, deposit, tuition, and ad-hoc payments for international assignees
Perform data validation and quality assurance checks
Produce regular and ad-hoc reporting for clients
Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and system improvements
Work closely with the Operations Lead to streamline processes and improve efficiency
About You
Strong analytical and numerical skills, with great attention to detail
Excellent Excel and data management skills (advanced level preferred)
Experience in financial administration, reconciliations, or expense management
Knowledge of multi-currency or cross-border payments is an advantage
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Highly organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities
Adaptable and a great team player
