The Role Head of Finance Our client is seeking an experienced and proactive Head of Finance to oversee the financial management and reporting in a not for profit organisation. Working closely with the Senior Leadership Team and Trustees, you will play a key role in ensuring strong financial controls, compliance, and strategic financial planning. Key Responsibilities Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including bookkeeping, payroll, and cash flow management Prepare monthly management accounts and year-end financial statements Lead the budgeting and forecasting process Ensure compliance with finance regulations, SORP, and statutory requirements Liaise with auditors, banks, and external stakeholders Support Trustees with clear and accurate financial reporting Develop and maintain robust financial controls and procedures About You You will be a qualified, qualified by experienced or part-qualified accountant (e.g. ACCA, CIMA, ACA). Strong Management Accounts experience is essential. The role offers some hybrid working, 2 days at home, 3 in the office. The role would suit a person with social housing experience - and is working for a charity in Liverpool City Centre - this role is a retained role
