How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?
The Director of Safety is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing safety programs, claims management, and ensuring compliance with government regulations and corporate procedures.
Responsibilities include:
* Championing a strong safety and compliance culture through effective programs.
* Designing, directing, and conducting training and audits on various Safety Manuals and SOPs.
* Representing Airgas in regional regulatory issues and inspections.
* Leading the Incident Review Committee.
* Analyzing risk data, evaluating initiatives, and developing mitigation plans.
* Collaborating with Training to develop impactful safety training programs.
* Conducting accident investigations and managing claims with insurance partners.
* Partnering with Senior Management on safety & compliance during acquisitions and integrations.
* Working with Human Resources on EHS and Risk Management issues.
* Empowering managers and employees to lead safety efforts.
* Participating in the Airgas Emergency Response Team.
* Leading offsite customer safety training and handling special projects.
Are you a MATCH?
* Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
* Minimum 8 years of safety experience in production/distribution.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills.
* Proficiency in MS Office.
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
* Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
Pay Rate: $130,000 - $140,000 + Bonus
