Astute's Nuclear team is partnering with an engineering business with over 40 years' experience across civil nuclear, defence and nuclear consultancy work to recruit a Commercial Manager for its Chorley site.
The Commercial Manager comes with a salary between £60,000 - £70,000 depending on experience, and a car allowance along with other benefits.

Responsibilities and duties
Reporting to the Commercial Director you will:
Provide commercial support to the business, with a focus on Civil Nuclear.
Ensure resource is in place to delivery commercial support to Civil Nuclear and all resources are effectively deployed.· Attend, and lead progress/delivery meetings with key stakeholders
Review and negotiate NEC and other contract agreements, including teaming agreements.
Support in the review and signing of upstream contracts. Ensure tender and Contract reviews have been completed.
Support with subcontract strategy & liaise with Project Buyers / procurement Team as required.
Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
· A relevant university degree or a professional accreditation from a relevant body.
Personal skills
The Commercial Manager role would suit someone who has:
NEC Certified Practitioner with minimum 3 years' experience
Used to dealing with confidential and commercial information
Worked within commercial / contract roles minimum experience 10 years.
Familiar with NEC3 and/or NEC4 contact writing.
