Job Overview
The Technology Support Specialist are responsible for the accurate logging of requests for support as part of the Service Desk function, resolving these during the initial call when possible. The queries will cover all areas of the Access System and other Provide group company systems as required. The Technology Support Specialist will have basic knowledge of all areas with expert knowledge in one or more specialty areas where their time will be focused. The Technology Systems Support Specialist will give technical assistance with System projects and be involved with the testing and deployment of new functionality.
Support will be provided through a variety of means, including by phone, email, face to face and through the use of remote support tools. The Technology Support Specialist will give training to users in a variety of ways, including one to one, formal training courses and as part of meetings or promotional activities.
Attention to detail and accuracy is an important skill for this role as it includes updating support calls, asset registers, process documents and guidance materials.
Main duties of the job
* Act as the single point of contact for all stakeholders regarding issues related to the Access System and other group company systems as required.
* Deliver high‑quality, customer‑focused technical support, responding to incidents and requests in both a proactive and reactive manner.
* Ensure issues are logged, managed and resolved effectively and within agreed performance targets, following ITIL‑based support frameworks.
* Provide clear advice, guidance and training to staff to support effective use of the systems.
* Support the testing, deployment and rollout of new system functionality.
* Assist with user training and adoption of new features to ensure a smooth implementation and ongoing system use.
