Health & Safety Advisor – Construction
Location: West Midlands (with regional travel)
Salary: Up to £45,000 + package

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and respected construction contractor with a strong track record of delivering high-quality projects across the healthcare, leisure and accommodation sectors. The business continues to grow steadily and is known for its commitment to safe working practices, quality delivery, and long-term staff retention.
The Role
Due to continued workload, our client is looking to appoint a Health & Safety Advisor to support projects primarily across the West Midlands region. While the role will be regionally based, there will be occasional requirements to visit projects outside of the core area, which may involve the odd night away.
You will play a key role in promoting a positive safety culture and ensuring compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental legislation across live construction sites.
Key Responsibilities
* Providing health & safety advice and support to site and project teams
* Carrying out site inspections, audits, and risk assessments
* Supporting the development and implementation of RAMS
* Monitoring compliance with company procedures and legal requirements
* Investigating incidents, near misses, and implementing corrective actions
* Delivering toolbox talks and safety briefings
* Supporting site teams during client audits and inspections
* Promoting a proactive and positive health & safety culture across projects
The Ideal Candidate
Proven health & safety experience within the construction industry (essential)
* NEBOSH Construction Certificate (or equivalent) preferred
* Strong knowledge of current H&S legislation and best practice
* Confident working on live construction sites and engaging with site teams
* Willingness to travel to projects outside the region when required
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* Proactive, approachable, and solutions-focused
