Support Officer – Projects, Planning and Performance
Join the Electoral Commission team as a Support Officer – Projects, Planning and Performance. The role is a full‑time, permanent position based in London, Cardiff, Belfast or Edinburgh (hybrid – minimum 2 days in office) or remote (UK). London employees receive an additional £3,217 London weighting and a £312 tax‑free working‑from‑home allowance annually.
About the role
The role supports two parts of the Projects, Planning and Performance team. One part involves reporting on performance, benefits and key performance indicators. The other part provides support to the Project Management Office across two major portfolios of change. Tasks include analysis, projects, secretariat duties and general administrative support.
Key responsibilities
* Maintain accurate and timely performance reporting and KPI dashboards.
* Assist in the planning and execution of projects across the two major portfolios.
* Support the Project Management Office with secretariat duties and project coordination.
* Provide general administrative support to the team.
* Use Microsoft Excel, Visio and Power BI to analyse data and visualise processes.
Qualifications and experience
* Experience in a performance and/or project environment is essential.
* A qualification in performance or project management is advantageous but not essential.
* Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and IT skills are essential.
* Experience using Microsoft Visio for process mapping is advantageous.
* Knowledge of Power BI is a bonus.
* Fast‑paced, proactive, and responsible with a desire to add value and learn quickly.
