Wood is currently recruiting an experienced Project Controls Manager (PCM) to oversee the project controls team across a high-profile programme for a key client in the UK, within our Systems Integration team in Digital Consulting.
The programme includes four major projects across various UK locations.
This role is flexible regarding location, allowing hybrid or remote work with regular travel as needed.
Applicants must pass the HMG Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) check.

The Role
This is a unique opportunity for an experienced PCM with a strong background in cost and schedule management, preferably from a Cost Control perspective, to lead a complex programme for a prestigious client.
You will manage a team of 12 project controls professionals, responsible for cost and schedule reporting, guiding the team towards effective delivery, and proactively managing risks. You will keep the client and project leadership informed at all stages.
You will be a key member of the project leadership team, working closely with the Project Director, project management, engineering, technical teams, and senior stakeholders across the consulting business. Effective communication and collaboration with the client are essential.

Expected Qualifications and Experience
* Significant experience as a PCM managing demanding portfolios
* Proven track record in cost and schedule management within tight budgets and timelines
* Background in Cost Control or Planning, with strong cost management skills
* Experience with contracts, budgeting, change management, and scheduling
* Knowledge of Lean tools and techniques
* Structured working style aligned with financial reporting cycles
* Leadership skills to coach and influence project teams
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
* Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
* Previous team leadership experience
* Mentoring skills to develop team members and future talent
* Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
* Typically, a Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent industry experience
