About Us

We Seal is a fast-growing, family-owned business specialising in innovative sealing solutions. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality products and exceptional service to our customers. As we continue to expand, we are looking for a hands-on and driven Supply Chain Manager to lead and optimise our end-to-end supply chain operations.

The Role

This is a key leadership position managing a team of 4 people and responsible for overseeing and improving all aspects of the supply chain, including inventory control, supplier management, logistics, and warehouse operations.

You will play a critical role in ensuring supplier compliance, full product traceability, and robust stock control processes in line with BRC requirements, while supporting the business through a period of rapid growth.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership

· Provide leadership and direction to the warehouse, stock control and supply chain Team, fostering a high-performing and accountable team culture.

· Set KPIs and monitor individual and team performance, provide feedback, coaching and corrective actions when needed; run regular meetings to align on priorities and progress and to guide the Team through operational challenges.

· Conduct regular 1:1 PDR meetings with the team members to build positive relationship, set clear direction and goals, offer support and ensure key performance objectives are met.

· Build and develop the Team using Competence Framework and clearly defined training plans to ensure full competence around the individual roles, systems, processes and best practice.

· Collaborate with other departments like production, customer experience, machinery, sales and finance. Act as a bridge between teams to avoid silos and lead collaboration to resolve bottlenecks and improve flow of goods and information.

Warehouse & Inventory Management

· Responsible for managing a range of materials including machinery parts, consumable packaging, and raw materials, utilising different control methods to ensure availability, accuracy, and efficient stock management.

· Reduce excess and obsolete stock by identifying slow-moving or unused inventory. Take action to reduce waste by discounting, reallocating or stopping orders and other means, and avoid over-ordering by improving planning accuracy.

· Ensure the right machinery parts, products and raw materials are available at the right time, prevent stock-outs and use demand forecasts and historical data to plan inventory.

· Ensure robust inventory governance through accurate data, effective forecasting, and strong control frameworks.

· Drive continuous improvement in warehouse operations, including layout design, safety standards, and process efficiency.

· Oversee end-to-end warehouse and logistics operations, ensuring seamless flow of goods from receipt through to dispatch.

Supplier & Procurement Management

1. Develop, implement, and manage supplier strategies to ensure high-quality, cost-effective, and timely supply.

2. Drive cost reduction initiatives across the supply chain without compromising quality or service levels.

3. Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to support long-term strategic goals.

4. Negotiate pricing with vendors and suppliers.

5. Monitor supplier performance metrics including quality, delivery, compliance, and cost.

6. Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Converting, Machinery, Customer Support) to align supply chain objectives with business goals.

7. Identify and mitigate supply risks and proactively resolve any supply disruptions.

8. Conduct market analysis and benchmarking to identify opportunities for alternative sourcing.

Logistics & Distribution

1. Coordinate and manage transportation, delivery schedules, and third-party logistics providers.
2. Optimise freight and shipping costs while ensuring timely and secure delivery of goods.
3. Resolve logistics issues and develop contingency plans to minimise disruption.
4. Ensure compliance with all transportation and regulatory requirements (local and international).

Cost Optimisation & Continuous Improvement

1. Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities across procurement, logistics, and warehouse operations.
2. Use data and KPIs to analyse performance and drive process improvements.
3. Support sustainability and efficiency initiatives within the supply chain.
4. Monthly reporting of key metrics to the Board highlighting successes, identifying any areas of concern with proposed solutions.
5. Ensure We Seal’s policies regarding Health and Safety, quality, and environmental impacts are adhered to at all times.
