The Conflict Analyst role at DAC Beachcroft offers an opportunity to be involved in building a new central conflicts team and determine whether a new client or matter can or should be accepted in line with the SRA Code of Conduct, the existing client base and DAC Beachcroft’s ethical framework.

Key Responsibilities
* Perform conflict and sanctions check searches using the Intapp system.
* Analyze potential commercial, legal and material information conflict issues in accordance with applicable regulation and common law.
* Work with colleagues in legal teams to obtain relevant information to aid analysis.
* Identify wider commercial risk issues at the client acceptance and conflict checking stage.
* Escalate issues arising from the search results to OGC (Office of General Counsel) when necessary.
* Assist in the implementation of information barriers.
* Ensure consistent data entry into Intapp.
* Work within SLA timescales.
* Develop and maintain knowledge of the SRA Code of Conduct rules relating to conflicts of interest, confidentiality and disclosure duties.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
* Either a law degree/GDL/LPC, previous experience in a compliance function, or relevant experience from working within a commercial law firm as a conflict analyst.
* Experience of gathering and analyzing information and using it methodically.
* Proven ability to work to competing deadlines, prioritize appropriately and maintain a positive working attitude.
* Highly organized with strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to form and maintain good relationships with colleagues at all levels.
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
* Working knowledge of Intapp desirable but not essential.
* Ability to make decisions and remain calm under pressure, especially when dealing with difficult situations.
* Ability to exercise tact and diplomacy.
* Demonstrated initiative and proactivity.
* Good team player.
