From 1 April 2026, the working week for NHS Agenda for Change staff in Scotland will be reduced. Full-time hours will reduce from 37 to 36 hours (pro rata for part-time staff) without loss of earnings.


Position:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Programme Support Officer – PMO & Efficiency based at Ailsa Hospital.

We have adopted a distributed working approach dependent on service need.

What you will do:

To provide a confidential and comprehensive administration service to the Programme Management Office & Efficiency function establishing and servicing a programme of inter-dependent meeting fora; organising all associated events, groups and workshops necessary to secure wide-ranging internal and external involvement; and acting as first point of contact for the Programme Management Office.

Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:

* Knowledge of the health and care sector;
* Awareness of political context of NHS including knowledge and understanding of when, how and with whom information can appropriately be shared;
* Key legislations and guidance affecting the NHS including knowledge and understanding of legislation and Scottish Statutory Instruments relating to Board governance issues; and
* Principles of governance and public accountability.
* Business Management qualification to degree level or equivalent experience.
