Trading is responsible for achievement of agreed plan metrics. You’ll contribute to a wide range of activities with immediate impact to our customers and performance.
What you'll be doing:
1. Running Price Optimisation in Radar on a regular basis to hit the financial plan for Motor product.
2. Tracking and identifying market opportunities and proposing rate changes
3. Constantly find new efficient ways of pricing
4. Embedding a test and learn approach in pricing
5. Proposing price changes and getting it signed off from key stakeholders.
6. Testing the proposed changes before being deployed in Live.
7. Conducting Post implementation reviews and take actions where the actual impacts are not in line with expectation.
8. Providing Inputs to plan and reforecasts.
9. Portfolio Management and Mix monitoring
10. Stakeholder management and engagement across internal teams.
11. All the while, ensuring that appropriate governance processes are followed to ensure we have relevant sign-offs and regulatory compliance checks have been completed.
12. Initially you’ll focus either on PCW or on Direct channels
Our hybrid model offers a 'best of both worlds' approach. When you'll be in the office depends on your role and team, but colleagues spend at least 2 days a week in the office.
Whatyou’llneed:
13. Experience in Retail Pricing and Price Optimisation
14. Strong understanding of the components of a pricing algorithms and application of underwriting rules.
15. Understanding of key legislation and regulation applying to motor insurance and how thisimpactspricing algorithms, models, customerpremiumsand experience.
16. Strong numerical and analytical skills with a keen eye for problem solving.
17. Extensive experience of Radar, or alternative pricing software
18. Experience of multivariate modelling, for example in Emblem-
19. Experience of data manipulation using languages, such as SQL or Python.
20. Experience of statistical and mathematical techniques and proven experience of applying these effectively in General Insurance Pricing.
21. Desire to be accountable for your deliverables and the performance of Motor products
