We have a great opportunity for an experienced ADA embedded software engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of current and future missile control systems!
Salary: Circa £57,000 depending on experience
Dynamic (hybrid) working: 4-5 days per week on-site due to workload classification
Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship
Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. All successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.

The opportunity:
Software Engineering develops real-time embedded software for missile subsystems and components. We seek a self-motivated embedded software engineer to develop and deliver software on time, within budget, and to quality standards for missile systems—this is complex, impactful work!
As an ADA Embedded Software Engineer, you will develop software according to company processes and timelines, proactively report to a Software Design Authority/Project Lead, and work within a small team throughout the software lifecycle—requirements, architecture, detailed design, implementation, testing, and delivery.
The role involves interfacing with stakeholders across disciplines such as systems design, electronics, safety, security, and quality.
What we're looking for from you:
A software engineer focused on embedded software development for real-time systems:
* Significant experience in developing embedded software using Ada, C, and C++
* Experience with model-based development using UML or tools like IBM Rhapsody
* A 'can do' attitude and flexibility—enjoy solving complex technical problems beyond software alone
* Strong focus on code quality, with experience in code and design reviews
* Ability to develop maintainable and extensible code to adapt to changing requirements
* Effective communication and collaboration skills with stakeholders across disciplines
