We are seeking a skilled Project Engineer to lead and support the development of innovative products within a highly regulated industry. This role spans the entire New Product Development (NPD) lifecycle—from concept and feasibility, through design, verification, and transfer to manufacture, and ultimately into high‑volume production.
While this is a project‑focused role, candidates should have a design engineering background and the ability to understand, interpret, and contribute to detailed design tasks and documentation. You will ensure that all projects meet regulatory, quality, and usability requirements while coordinating cross‑functional activities from cradle to grave.
This is a hybrid Project/Design Engineering role, and could be a great first step into Project Engineering/Management of an experience Design Engineer.
Responsibilities
Manage projects through the full NPD lifecycle, from early concepts and user requirements through to product launch and ongoing lifecycle management.
Hands on product design and development activities from initial concept to market release.
Drive project planning, scheduling, and execution to meet technical, regulatory, and commercial milestones.
Coordinate cross‑functional communication between design, quality, manufacturing, suppliers, and operations to ensure seamless project progression.
Coordinate design transfer between UK operations and manufacturing partners
Lead risk management, design reviews, and project reporting throughout each development phase.
Conduct verification and validation of components and assemblies, including inspection and testing.
Record all formal and relevant informal engineering data within the product lifecycle management system.
Create and modify technical drawings in line with design standards.
Perform other reasonable duties as requested by management.
Experience/Qualifications:
Degree in Product Design, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
Experience in a design-related role, with an understanding of engineering design principles.
Proficiency in CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks).
Proven ability to manage technical projects across multiple phases.
Strong problem‑solving ability and creative application of engineering principles.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.~
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
