Due to substantial growth in recruitment to the Electrical Installation provision, we are looking to recruit a Lecturer in Electrical Installation with a passion for ensuring student achievement, to drive our continued success in providing a high-quality teaching and learning experience across a range of programmes within the Division of Construction.
Responsibilities
* Ensure Electrical Installation contributes fully to the excellent achievement, retention and sustained growth of the Division.
* Work closely with all the Curriculum Managers and the Programme Leader in the Electrical craft area across the full range of programmes delivered and assessed, and assist the section with its aspiration for improving quality and increasing success rates.
* Teach relevant to subject specialism, up to 832 hours per year.
Qualifications
With a relevant degree in a related subject, ideally a PGCE or Certificate in Education (or other recognised teaching qualification obtainable through the College’s Staff Development programme). Possess knowledge of current issues in Electrical Installation relating to the curriculum area. Preferably, have knowledge of work‑based learning, full‑time and part‑time qualification specifications, and experience of successful teaching up to Advanced level (including Work Based Learning) – advantageous, but not essential.
Salary
The salary for this post is up to £47,271.
