As an Information, Advice and Guidance Officer, you will help ensure children and families can access the right support at the right time by developing and maintaining our public‑facing directory of services. By keeping the information accurate and up‑to‑date, you enable service users to be directed to support that best meets their individual needs.
What You Will Be Doing
* Research, collect and maintain an up‑to‑date directory of services for residents and professionals, specifically relating to children, young people and their families, including those with SEND.
* Increase service levels through promotion and awareness work, and liaise with specialist colleagues to maximise support for families.
* Improve user trust and satisfaction with the current IAG offer among key service users.
* Produce reports and provide updates on work that has been completed.
* Target local community groups and organisations, forming positive relationships using networking skills.
What We Need From You
* Confident communicator able to adapt approach to a wide range of stakeholders and liaise with providers and partners to develop positive working relationships.
* Able to collate, produce and edit directory content in plain English and accessible language appropriate for a diverse audience, including people with cognitive or communication needs.
* Understanding of the needs of children and families, including those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
* Excellent IT and numeracy skills, including ability to accurately update information systems and databases.
