We have an initial Process Operator role available within TATA Steels Llanwern works. This specific department uses automated equipment to make steel components. This role is ideal for someone who can work on their own initiative and comes from a Machine Operating, Manufacturing or Industrial background. Role: Process Operator Location: TATA Steel, Llanwern Works, Newport NP19 4QZ Rate: £13.70ph (£26,715 per annum) Contract length: 12 months initially, with the view to extend or offer a permanent position Shift Patterns: Mon-Thu 06:00-14:00 and Fri 06:00-13:00 (37.5 hours per week) Start: ASAP but pending the result of a medical assessment (this does include a Drug and Alcohol test) Responsibilities: * Operating processing machinery and material handling equipment * Working upon own initiative and handling machinery independently * Ensuring any machine operation is with the optimum Health and safety in mind at all times * Recognising relevant product ranges to facilitate prompt and accurate material selection and processing * Understanding basic maintenance activities and conducting them as required * Understanding and deploying continuous improvement a...
