Well-known utilities provider require a Procurement Manager. Applicants need a background in public sector procurement, and/or experience in; construction, engineering, maintenance, FM or indirect procurement.\n\nThe Procurement Manager role encompasses a mix of hands-on tendering (cradle-to-grave) and sourcing activities, with the development and implementation of category management strategies. Working closely with a Senior Category Manager, the Procurement Manager will lead procurement activity in regards to construction and maintenance of capital assets, delivering excellent service to customers and stakeholders.\n\nSpecific duties of the Procurement Manager include:\n\nDevelop and implement demand and category strategies aligned with value management and procurement policies.\nRunning cradle-to-grave tender exercises from scoping with stakeholders, RFI, RFQ to award\nCollaborate with Senior Category Manager and business leads to deliver sourcing and contracting strategies.\nDrive cost reduction through demand aggregation, standardisation, and minimising tail spend.\nLead continuous improvement by applying external best practices and innovation to category strategies\nSupport full sourcing lifecycle and commercial activities to optimise total cost of ownership.
\n\nProcurement Manager applicants should meet the following criteria:\n\nExperience in a strategic procurement or category focused role\nKnowledge of public sector or utilities procurement processes - advantageous, PCR, UCR, PA23 etc.\nExperience in running tenders\nKnowledge of; indirect, construction, engineering maintenance, FM spend areas - advantageous\nTeam player, with a continuous improvement mindset with strong commercial awareness
