The Role
* Visit existing and prospective customers to identify needs and promote products and services
* Work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
* Develop a strong understanding of metrology principles and applications
* Generate and qualify sales leads, collaborating with technical specialists where required
* Liaise with internal teams to progress opportunities and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
* Prepare quotations, negotiate with clients, and close sales to meet or exceed targets
* Maintain accurate sales records using CRM and company IT systems
* Support exhibitions, product demonstrations, and marketing events
* Work with Finance on customer accounts, payments, and queries
* Respond promptly to customer enquiries regarding pricing, availability, and terms
* Proven experience in technical or field sales (ideally within engineering or manufacturing industries)
* Strong communication and relationship-building skills
* Technical aptitude with the ability to understand complex product ranges
* Self-motivated, organised, and capable of managing your own territory
* Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel
