Legal Assistant Location: Horsham, West Sussex Working Hours: Full Time Salary: £28,000 – £30,000 per annum Our client is a long-established and highly reputable immigration firm based in Horsham, West Sussex. They specialise in corporate immigration and cater to several hundred corporate clients of varying sizes, many of whom they have worked with for many years. They are currently recruiting for a Legal Assistant to join their existing immigration team. This is an exciting opportunity for a graduate to start work within a hugely successful and quality-driven immigration business and achieve Level 1 IAA accreditation within the first 12 months. The Role As a junior team member working under direct supervision, the Legal Assistant will support the team in day-to-day operations by providing both fee-earning and administrative assistance to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and professionally. Key responsibilities include: Assisting the team with handling cases on a day-to-day basis Liaising with clients in a clear and professional manner to progress UK immigration matters Monitoring key dates and deadlines, including visa expiry dates, follow-ups, and submission timelines Proofreading documents to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with Home Office requirements Conducting legal research Handling website leads and preparing draft responses where relevant Keeping up to date with changes to immigration law Drafting client care letters and invoices using the CRM and Practice Management system Providing assistance with billing, narratives, and administration Filing completed casework Participating in social media networking via LinkedIn and other social media platforms Supporting the team in maintaining standard templates, precedents, and internal guidance notes Assisting with process improvements to enhance efficiency, turnaround times, and client experience Please note that this job description is not exhaustive, and additional duties may be required in line with business needs.
