Senior Staff Nurse – Emergency Department
Join NHS Ayrshire & Arran in the Emergency Department as a band 6 registered nurse. This role focuses on delivering person‑centred care in an acute setting and developing advanced skills within a supportive environment.
Working Hours
* Full‑time: 36 hours per week (Agenda for Change) with a 12.5‑hour rotational 12‑hour shift pattern.
* Alternative hours can be negotiated to support work‑life balance.
Responsibilities
* Provide high‑quality nursing care in the Accident & Emergency department, responding to a wide range of clinical presentations.
* Work effectively under pressure, prioritising care and maintaining accurate documentation.
* Continuously develop clinical expertise through training, teaching and participation in staff development programmes.
* Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, efficient patient care.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Registered Nurse with a valid National Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC) registration.
* Live NMC UK PIN required for consideration.
* Band 6 experience and a commitment to person‑centred care in a fast‑paced emergency environment.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a willingness to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
