About the Role
The VP of Operations - UK will have dual responsibilities in leading the buildout of FORTÉ Europe, including directly leading the organic build of a London area office and providing oversight to organization of FORTÉ Europe into a cohesive region, with standards, best practices and centralization of key functions.
As the functional leader of FORTÉ UK’s London area office, the VP of Operations will be responsible for the development of an approved annual business plan, the staffing of resources and other investments to meet the plan objectives in bookings, revenue and operating profit, aligned to the FORTÉ value proposition, culture and values.
Additionally, the VP of Operations will serve as the central leader to coordinate with European Regional Business Units to develop best practices, standards and resource sharing across Europe to facilitate scale, consistency and growth across the regions. This could include a PMO, Service Delivery, and Sales Enablement among other functions, working closely with IT and Finance to address specific in-country compliance needs, while delivering a consistent experience to our customers and finding strong synergies with our business units working together as a larger region. The VP of Operations will directly recruit, hire and manage the local FORTÉ London team and have dotted line oversight of Regional Operations, Service Delivery and Technical Operations Mangers that report directly into those countries Executive Leadership.
Qualifications
* Strong executive business and financial planning skills and experience, including the ability to build profitable and scalable business units, with accountable plans, forecasting and benchmarks.
* Experience leading business units and regions, successfully developing and executing plans that deliver profitable growth and customer satisfaction goals.
* Proven leadership and leadership development skills, aligned to the culture and core values of our company.
* Formal leadership training, aligned to the company’s leadership culture.
* A background in Managed Services leadership, including intimate knowledge of IT trends driving the evolution of the AV industry.
* Computer literacy skills and financial budgeting skills are very important to this position.
* Previous experience with IT deployments, and service experience is required.
* Ability to develop field leaders to make management decisions within the scope of policies, procedures and budgets of the company.
* Will require thorough use of the ERP system in driving business results from inquiry to cash.
* Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports, technical procedures, scopes of work, proposals, contracts and governmental regulations.
* Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
* Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
* Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
* Ability to make group or point-to-point presentations using videoconferencing or presentation systems equipment.
