The Role
The Learning facilitator for MPs and MPs’ staff will be part of the Engagement and Learning Team within the Members’ Services Team (MST). They will work closely with colleagues in the wider team, including Members’ HR, engagement, insight and operations, to provide an excellent service to MPs and MPs’ staff.
Some of the responsibilities for this role include:
1. To build and maintain positive working relationships with MPs and MPs’ staff, facilitating conversations and events, to ascertain their learning and development needs, listening and reacting to feedback.
2. To design and develop learning schedules for MPs and MPs’ staff based on their learning requirements and by managing the learning budget effectively.
3. To attend and participate in stakeholder groups ( Members’ Staff User Group) as required with updates on learning proposals.
4. To co-chair the Community of Trainers group alongside the Member Training and Career Services Lead and encourage collaboration on learning activities for MPs and MPs’ staff across House services.
5. To lead the MPs’ Staff Training Ambassador Network to obtain their input on future learning plans and develop new learning content.
Skills and Experience
To be successful in this role you will demonstrate:
6. Experience of working in the learning and development environment is desirable. Experience of developing and delivering programmes or projects, using data and customer insight to deliver a successful initiative, managing risks, and overseeing budgets and reporting.
7. Experience of building constructive relationships with customers and stakeholders, at all levels, to persuade and influence service delivery, ensuring that services are fully aligned with the needs of customers, and promoting collaborative working.
8. Excellent customer service skills including experience of engaging with customers through a variety of methods including events, talks and other engagement activities. A can-do and positive attitude towards customers resulting in positive action being taken as a result of feedback.
