Job Overview
We are seeking an Access and Participation Plan (APP) Programme Manager (maternity cover) to ensure the University continues to meet its commitments to equality of opportunity, student success and regulatory compliance.
Access and participation plans set out how higher education providers improve equality of opportunity for under‑represented groups to access, succeed in and progress from higher education.
Responsibilities
* Provide strategic oversight, coordination and assurance for the University’s APP.
* Act as the institutional expert responsible for coordinating delivery, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving progress against APP objectives.
* Build engagement across the University, work closely with intervention leads and stakeholders to deliver the APP and ensure the plan aligns with sector expectations, regulatory changes and institutional priorities.
* Enable senior leaders to make informed decisions by providing governance and assurance.
Qualifications
* Experience in access, participation, equality or regulatory compliance work.
* Transferable experience from related strategic or programme roles.
Work Conditions
Working hours: 36.25 hours per week (fixed‑term contract for maternity leave cover until 31/7/2027). Part‑time work (minimum 30 hours per week) is available; please specify preferred hours in your application.
