About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and experienced HGV Class 1 Tramper Driver to join us at Driver Hire Lancaster. Work would be based at Heysham Dock. This role involves depot-to-depot deliveries across the UK, with overnight stays as required. You will be responsible for transporting palletised goods, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining high standards of safety and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
* Operate Class 1 (C+E) vehicles for depot-to-depot deliveries
* Ensure compliance with tachograph regulations and working time directives
* Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any issues
* Maintain accurate delivery records and paperwork
* Adhere to all road safety regulations and company policies
* Provide excellent customer service during deliveries
* Stay overnight as required, with additional payments provided for nights out
