Overview
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Magnetic Resonance & Precision Imaging team at the Nottingham NIHR Biomedical Research Centre (NBRC MR/PI) as a Clinical Research Practitioner. Precision Imaging is driving the discovery and translation of new imaging tools which will transform non-invasive diagnosis, improve the outcomes for patients, and better evaluate the success of medical interventions. Our researchers have expertise across MRI & precision imaging – from mathematics and computer science to physics and medicine.
Patient and Public involvement is key to all our research, including providing a valuable research experience for participants. You will be directly contributing to this by supporting academics and participants in clinical trials supported by and affiliated to the NBRC MR&PI theme, focusing but not limited to imaging projects in neurodegenerative disorders, such as InsightPD, a large ongoing longitudinal Parkinson’s imaging cohort trial.
You will be undertaking standardized clinical assessments, collection of bio samples and contribute to clinical trial documentation and management tasks using standard operating procedures. You will work as a member of the team providing a high standard of care to patients participating in research, including data entry, assisting with patient care and trial-specific tasks.
The Nottingham BRC is a partnership between Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust and the University of Nottingham, funded by NIHR. The mission of the NIHR Nottingham Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) is to improve health locally, nationally and internationally. The postholder will be instrumental in ensuring the successful completion of many of our world-leading research projects.
