Location: Hybrid, Verwood (typically 3 days a week in-office, with flexibility for travel to other UK office locations as required)

About the role:
We're searching for a highly skilled and motivated Digital Marketing Manager to join our dynamic Web team within the Marketing function. You'll be responsible for driving, analysing, and optimising web traffic to ensure the best possible user experience and achieve our commercial goals. This pivotal role involves close collaboration with various commercial teams, including marketing, category management, supply chain, and IT, to implement strategies that significantly increase website visibility, traffic, and conversions across our e-commerce business.
Reporting to the Head of Digital at a local level, with a dotted line into a Group-level Acquisition/Traffic Management lead, you'll be part of a wider team of peers. You'll manage a portfolio of diverse e-commerce brands, maintaining constant communication across reporting lines to identify and leverage relevant traffic acquisition channels and meet ambitious business objectives.
Main responsibilities:
* Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy to achieve targeted e-commerce growth across a portfolio of websites.
* Ensure seamless collaboration with local marketing teams and group functions.
* Oversee various aspects of web acquisition, including SEA (Search Engine Advertising), Affiliation, and Retargeting.
* Work closely with colleagues focused on other channels such as SEO and Social Media to build a holistic strategy.
* Oversee the strategy and development of paid campaigns on Google and Bing.
* Collaborate effectively with external SEA agencies to drive growth initiatives.
* Track and analyse campaign performance meticulously, making data-driven adjustments as needed.
* Provide insightful monthly and quarterly updates to senior management and board members.
* Monitor and analyse web traffic using platforms like GA4, Google Ads, and other relevant tools.
* Deliver key insights and actionable recommendations based on data analysis to enhance traffic and user engagement.
Key performance indicators (KPIs):
* Web Turnover (Sales)
* Overall Traffic and Conversion Rate
* Number of Onsite Transactions and Average Order Value (AOV)
* SEA Traffic Indicators (impressions, clicks, CTR, impression share)
* SEA Spend Vs. Revenue
Key competencies our client is looking for:
* Solid knowledge of digital marketing principles and practices.
* Proficiency in managing pay-per-click (PPC) campaigns across platforms like Google Ads and Bing Ads.
* Strong analytics skills, adept at using tools like Google Analytics to track and measure campaign performance.
* Proven skill in campaign planning, developing and executing effective advertising strategies.
* Results-oriented, with a strong ability to structure an efficient and ROI-driven approach.
* Proactive in identifying new opportunities and acting as a driving force for development.
* Ability to conduct thorough market analysis to inform campaign strategies.
* Highly organised, rigorous, and autonomous in your work.
* Demonstrable ability to manage agency relationships effectively.
* Strong leadership and influencing skills at all levels.
* SEO knowledge to complement SEA strategies.
