Baker Recruitment Group, are excited to partner with a valued Client in Leeds, in search of an Assistant Commercial Manager to support their continued growth.
Primary Responsibilities
* Assist with sub-contract enquiries at tender stage, ensuring they have the required information to provide timely quotations.
* Agree scope of works & fees with sub-contractors for packages.
* Review quotes, complete comparisons & raise orders.
* Support the Commercial Manager, update weekly sign off sheets for the Board of Directors.
* Proactively work with the Construction Directors on site procurement & support allocated projects.
* Provide accurate monthly site forecast costs.
* Flexible to assist the Finance Management Team, with cost enquiries for site budgets.
* Provide cover, where required to the Commercial Manager.
* Attend pre-construction meetings, cost meetings & sub contractor meetings as and when required.
* Assist with accounts queries.
Knowledge and Experience Required:
* Proven experience within a subcontract buying role.
* Essential construction knowledge.
* Desire to understand & promote the company purpose, vision and values.
* Sage knowledge.
* Essential Microsoft Office Knowledge.
Qualification and Skills:
* Relevant business degree or equivalent experience.
* Self-starter with a can-do attitude with a desire to pick up new challenges, team player dedicated to achieve results.
* The ability to work to tight deadlines & manage own workload.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Excellent organisational skills with great attention to detail.
