About the Role: This full-time, term-time position is ideal for someone who is empathetic, proactive, and eager to contribute to the success of students with SEN. You’ll work closely with pupils and teaching staff to support personalised learning plans, encourage positive behaviour, and help create an environment where each child’s individual needs are met. Key Responsibilities: Provide 1:1 and small-group support to students with a variety of SEN, including learning difficulties, autism, ADHD, physical disabilities, and other specific needs. Assist pupils with their individual learning plans to ensure progress and help overcome barriers. Support the delivery of SEN-focused activities, adapting classroom resources to ensure accessibility. Promote social interaction, emotional wellbeing, and positive behaviour among pupils. Work collaboratively with teachers, the SENCO, and external professionals to provide consistent and effective support. Help maintain a calm, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment. Keep detailed records of pupil progress and contribute to reviews and meetings. What We’re Looking For: Experience supporting children with SEN is highly desirable. A patient, calm, and compassionate approach to working with children. Strong communication and teamwork skills. A commitment to helping children achieve their personal best. Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one). SEN-related training or qualifications (desirable but not essential).
