Zest Education partners with an excellent special needs school in Maidenhead, which is looking to recruit several special needs teaching assistants due to expansion. This school are growing rapidly, opening new classrooms and recruiting staff to start ASAP, with notice, or September 2026.
This is a special needs school catering for students aged 2 to 19 with a variety of special educational needs. Ranging from ASD, to SEMH, PMLD and other needs.
(Autism, Social Emotional Mental Health, Profound & Multiple Learning Difficulties, Physical disabilites etc)
We are looking for candidates to join the school on a permanent, full-time basis.
Who will be considered?
* Experienced Teaching Assistants with a background in special needs or mainstream schools
* Those with relevant experience, such as coaching or holiday camps
* Care or support workers with transferable skills
* Graduates who are keen to embark on a rewarding career with special needs
Day-to-day responsibilities:
* You will be working with a wide variety of students and age groups
* Our client will look to place you with students who match your previous experience
* Supporting students in class, around school, both academically and socially
* A chance to work with a variety of special needs, this school does not specialise in one area so you'll have the chance to build invaluable experience across special educational needs
* Personal care, including feeding, changing, is a possibility depending on the student you are working with, so our client asks for those who are happy to assist - full training provided
Working Hours: (term time only) school holidays off:
* Monday & Tuesday:
08:45–16:30
* Wednesday–Friday:
08:45–15:15
