Here at GXO we are looking for a Learning and Development Advisor to join our M&S contract based in Bradford. Reporting to the Training Manager, the role is responsible for all operational training across the site, including planning, content, delivery and recording, accounting for quality and effectiveness and ensuring compliance with site and safety standards. The L&D Specialist will also indirectly manage the Operational Trainers and the L&D administrator.
This is a full-time permanent position working Monday to Friday 08:00 to 16:00.

What you'll do on a typical day:
* Develop and deliver high‑quality training across safety, quality, systems and leadership, ensuring alignment with GXO and customer standards
* Use data, reporting and feedback to track training impact, identify skill gaps and drive continuous improvement
* Manage the annual training schedule, operational training plans and team trackers to streamline processes and meet site capacity and budget requirements
* Facilitate and deliver core training including Manual Handling, site policies and site‑based Health & Safety modules, as well as supporting onboarding and induction
* Partner with operational leaders to understand development needs, create targeted learning plans and ensure colleagues are booked onto relevant internal or external courses
* Champion a positive learning culture, supporting capability growth, encouraging engagement and promoting consistent development across the site/network
What you need to succeed at GXO:
* Experience in learning & development, training, coaching or another people‑development role, ideally within logistics, warehousing or a similar operational environment
* Strong facilitation and communication skills, able to adapt your style for diverse audiences and build effective, influential relationships
* A practical, hands‑on approach with the confidence to work on the warehouse floor to understand the operation and support colleagues
* Excellent organisation, prioritisation and analytical skills, with great attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders at once
