The East Primary Care Team is seeking an experienced, organized, and enthusiastic Receptionist to work at our GP Practice (Beechley Medical Centre, Wrexham). Previous experience in a GP Practice and knowledge of EMIS are desirable but training can be provided. The role involves managing appointments, handling patient queries, and performing administrative duties, including data input.
Main Duties
* Booking appointments and dealing with patient queries, requiring excellent communication skills and a confident telephone manner.
* Performing administrative tasks using IT skills, including Microsoft Office, to support the smooth operation of the practice.
* Working at other GP practices in the East area on an ad hoc basis to cover staff absences and meet service needs.
* Welsh language skills are desirable; English and/or Welsh speakers are welcome to apply. The successful candidate will be expected to learn Welsh after appointment.

Qualifications
* Good standard of education
* NVQ Level 2 in Administration or equivalent experience
Desirable Qualifications
* ECDL or similar IT qualification
* Experience with IT systems like EMIS, Oracle, WPAS
* Knowledge of medical terminology
Experience / Skills / Knowledge
* Experience with Microsoft Office and working in busy reception or office environments
* Excellent communication skills, ability to handle multiple tasks, and maintain confidentiality
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Other Requirements
* Flexibility to work at different sites as needed
