Day-to-Day Your typical day will involve: Conducting detailed energy and environmental modelling using IES VE software. Collaborating with architects, engineers, and clients to provide expert advice on sustainable design strategies. Preparing reports and documentation to support compliance with regulations and certifications. Attending project meetings to influence design decisions and ensure alignment with sustainability goals. Staying up-to-date with industry standards and best practices to deliver innovative solutions. Responsibilities As a Sustainability Consultant, you will: Utilise IES VE software to conduct advanced building performance modelling and analysis. Support the development of Net Zero Carbon and operational energy strategies in line with UKGBC, LETI, RIBA 2030, and local planning requirements. Assess projects for compliance with Part L, Part O, CIBSE TM52/59, EPCs, CIBSE TM54/NABERS, and Passive House accreditation. Provide modelling input to support relevant BREEAM credits. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure compliance, performance, and best practices are integrated into design decisions from concept to delivery. Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: A degree in physical sciences, or an engineering discipline such as physics, mechanical, electrical, building services engineering, environmental, or architectural engineering. 2-4 years of experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of sustainable building design principles.
