Job Description:
We are seeking an enthusiastic Transport Planner / Administrator to join our team.
Previous experience in Transport Planning/Administration or Logistics is preferable but not mandatory, as you will join a well-established team that will fully train you to deliver a first-class transport and logistics service to our customers.
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient planning of transportation routes and logistics, contributing to the business. This position requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a team.
Duties
* Develop and implement transport plans that meet operational requirements.
* Analyse data to determine optimal transport routes and schedules.
* Coordinate with drivers, clients, and other departments to ensure timely deliveries.
* Maintain accurate records of transport activities using computerised systems.
* Provide clerical support including data entry and administrative tasks as required.
* Manage communications effectively through phone etiquette and professional correspondence.
* Prepare data reports for clients.
Requirements
* Degree and Higher Education candidates are encouraged to apply.
* Good computer skills and keen to learn our Transport Management System (Mandata Software).
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a focus on phone etiquette.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
