Employee Relations Specialist
Initial 6 month FTC (potential to extend)
Hybrid working - 2 days per week in Warwick office - flexibility to travel UK-wide
Salary Circa £58,000 per annum
We’re looking for a skilled Employee Relations Specialist to join our dynamic team, providing professional, risk-based advice and guidance to managers across a wide range of complex ER cases.
What You’ll Do
As a trusted ER expert, you’ll:
* Provide specialist advice on cases including disciplinary, grievance, performance, absence, discrimination, and more.
* Coach and support line managers through formal processes, ensuring fair and consistent outcomes.
* Lead and manage complex hearings, including dismissals and ill-health retirements.
* Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders including legal advisors and trade unions.
* Champion best practice through training and capability-building sessions.
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and policy reviews.
What You’ll Bring
* Proven experience in managing complex ER cases with sound legal and commercial judgement.
* Strong stakeholder management skills across all levels of the organisation.
* Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to challenge and drive change.
* In-depth knowledge of employment law and ACAS guidelines.
* Experience in early conciliation, settlement agreements, and employment tribunals.
* Resilience, adaptability, and a customer-focused mindset.
Qualifications
* CIPD Level 7 (or equivalent)
