The Governors of the Memorial Trust Board and the Library Service are excited to be recruiting a Trust Librarian for the American Library at the Millennium Library, with additional oversight of its Wing collections at other libraries.
The post holder is responsible for the collections, enquiry service and development of the programme of activity, as well as for supporting US family visits sensitively. Working with the Governors, they bring new visitors into the library and reach out online and in person. The Trust Librarian also manages the day-to-day operation of this specialist service and team of staff.
We are looking for someone who can share a genuine passion for the American Library and make it relevant and accessible to a range of community groups. A can-do attitude and positive approach are essential as is the ability to develop open and constructive relationships, working in collaboration with the Governors.
