What does the role involve?
4. Monitoring delivery dates on long lead time orders from an international supplier base
5. Pro-actively expediting purchase orders to resolve any supply issues and meet strict project timescales
6. Building strong stakeholder relationships with both internal teams and external suppliers, providing status updates throughout the project
7. Making freight bookings with Freight Forwarders for international shipments
8. Monitoring and tracking supplier performance
Ideal Skills and Experience
9. Previous experience in an Expediting or Purchasing role
10. Exposure to fast-paced Manufacturing or Engineering environments
11. Proven track record working with freight forwarders
12. Previous experience arranging international shipments
13. Good working knowledge of customs compliance / export documentation
14. Strong problem solving and communication skills
15. Ability to work to tight deadlines
16. Confident working with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel
