Park Recruit are working with a successful FMCG business based outside of Dungannon, who supply high-quality products across multiple markets. As part of their continued expansion, they are seeking a capable and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to manage the full accounting function in a standalone capacity. Role Overview: This is a hands-on, standalone position suited to a confident and experienced accounts professional. You will be responsible for the full day-to-day financial operations of the business, up to trial balance stage. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong understanding of accounting processes and will be comfortable working independently. Experience with Sage is essential. Key Responsibilities: Full ownership of day-to-day bookkeeping and financial operations Maintain purchase and sales ledgers Bank reconciliations and cash flow management Preparation of monthly management accounts to trial balance stage VAT returns and compliance with HMRC requirements Processing supplier payments and staff expenses Credit control and debt chasing where required Posting journals, accruals, and prepayments Supporting year-end processes and liaising with external accountants/auditors Maintain fixed asset register Assist with budget tracking and variance analysis General financial administration and ad hoc tasks as required Key Requirements: Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar accounting role (preferably within FMCG or a related fast-paced industry) Strong proficiency in Sage (Preferred) Strong understanding of accounting principles up to trial balance Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office tools AAT qualified or working towards a recognised accounting qualification (e.g. ACCA, CIMA) desirable but not essential Benefits: Competitive salary based on experience Opportunity to join a growing and ambitious company Supportive working environment with potential for career development On-site parking Company pension scheme Skills: sage accounts purchase ledger sales ledger management accounts Bank Reconciliation cash flow management
