Distributor Account Manager
POSITION SUMMARY
Diversey are seeking a Distributor Account Manager to join the team. In this role, you will take ownership for the growth and retention of an agreed customer portfolio of distributor accounts in line with strategic plans and set sales and margin targets. You will cover the North East region of England – an area that stretches from Newcastle and the border with Scotland down to Leicestershire, east of the M1 corridor.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Sales lifecycle management of specified distributors through direct relationships and internal departments, to deliver and create value within your portfolio.
* To build and deliver clear business objectives, in conjunction with all stakeholders that are aligned with company targets to Win, Grow & Retain.
* To build joint business plans as working documents and review progress at scheduled quarterly meetings with every customer.
* To coordinate planning activity within Distributors, with joint end user customers via the Diversey KAM and NAM team
* Ongoing collaboration with internal departments to gain full operational support to deliver objectives on time and in full.
* To pipeline manage the conversion of prospects/new business wins within the agreed portfolio of customers.
* To understand customer and distributor needs to provide value-added solutions.
* To develop a true understanding of distributor business models and regional account structures
* Joint sales activity with distributor team salespeople, both externally and internally.
* To develop joint plans with channel partners to maximize non-price supported sales (organic) through promotional calendar and sales of specific innovations.
* To deliver agreed service levels and end-user activity through work with the territory teams.
* Communication of product listings, pricing, and terms to relevant teams.
KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED
* An understanding of both Direct & Channel Sales
* Experience and understanding of ship through/POR and indirect commercial processes
* Strong interpersonal and influencing skills together with a persuasive communication style
* Excellent presentation skills
* Excellent IT competency
* A positive attitude with the ability to exceed client expectations
* Resilience, drive, & growth behaviours
* Project management
