Overview
RBA Production Supervisor (Database Management) – Location: Coulport, near Helensburgh (Scotland; 20 minutes north of Helensburgh). Package: Starting from £40,000 (dependent on experience and suitability for the role). Working pattern: Monday - Thursday (core hours) with potential for shifts, overtime, and occasional weekend work.
At AWE, this role involves overseeing and coordinating daily operations and database management on the production floor to ensure manufacturing processes run smoothly, efficiently, and safely. You will manage a team of production staff, ensure quality standards are met, and achieve production targets within deadlines.
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Production Supervisor who can lead daily operations, drive efficiency, and meet performance goals. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, a focus on process improvement, experience with database management, and the ability to thrive in a unionised environment. Responsibilities
* Plan, organise, and oversee production schedules to meet customer demands and deadlines.
* Monitor production processes and adjust schedules to optimise efficiency.
* Oversee daily operations and database management of the production floor to ensure smooth and safe manufacturing processes.
* Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members based on skills and workload; conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals and updates.
* Ensure products meet quality standards and work with the Quality Assurance team on corrective actions.
* Enforce health and safety regulations on the production floor; conduct safety inspections and risk assessments.
* Coordinate with procurement and logistics to ensure timely availability of resources; minimise waste and optimise use of materials and equipment.
* Maintain accurate production data records, downtime, output, and efficiency; document incidents or equipment malfunctions.
Qualifications and Experience
* Strong leadership and team management skills; excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
* Experience with database management is essential.
* Knowledge of production processes, equipment, and quality control standards; ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills; proficiency with production management software and tools.
Desirable/Optional
* Recognised craft apprenticeship (Electrical or Mechanical) preferred; an HND or engineering degree with relevant experience also considered.
* Experience working in a unionised environment.
