Our Bar Supervisor role
We’re looking for our new bar supervisor to be passionate
about Islay and our drink producers, and keen to learn all there is to know
about the distilleries on the island to be able to talk confidently about them
to our guests. With a passion for hospitality, a keen eye for detail, you’ll
have the ability to lead and inspire a team.
You’ll help oversee the day-to-day operations of our bar.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, a keen eye for detail,
and the ability to lead and inspire a team. The Bar Supervisor will be
responsible for ensuring excellent customer service, maintaining high standards
of beverage quality and presentation, and managing inventory and financials
effectively.
As part of this role, we’re looking for someone who is a
passionate and creative professional who elevates the art of cocktail making,
continuously pushing boundaries to craft unique and delightful drinking
experiences for our guests.
In addition to your technical skills, you’ll need to possess
the ability to work in a team, be guest focused, engage with customers,
recommend drinks based on their preferences, and educate them about the
ingredients and techniques used in the cocktails.

As our Bar Supervisor you’ll be:
* Working closely with the Restaurant
Manager/ Bar Manager and oversee the day-to-day running operation of the
restaurant
* Ensuring compliance with health, safety,
and liquor regulations.
* Maintaining cleanliness and organization
of the bar area, ensuring all equipment is in good order.
Customer
Service:
* Ensuring that customers receive prompt and
courteous service.
* Addressing customer complaints and
concerns promptly and professionally.
* Developing and maintaining relationships
with regular customers.
Beverage
Management:
* Assisting in the creation and updating of
the bar menu, including cocktails, wines, beers, and non-alcoholic
beverages.
* Ensuring all beverages are prepared to the
highest standards and presented attractively.
* Staying current with industry trends and
incorporate innovative beverage offerings.
Inventory
and Financial Management:
* Assisting Bar manager to manage inventory
levels, conduct regular stock checks, and order supplies as needed.
* Assisting Bar manager to monitor and
control bar costs, including labor, inventory, and wastage.
* Analyzing sales and revenue reports to
make informed business decisions and improve profitability.
Marketing
and Promotions:
* Developing and implementing marketing
strategies and promotions in coordination with Bar Manager to attract new
customers and retain existing ones
* Coordinating events and special promotions
to increase bar traffic and sales.
* Utilizing social media and other marketing
channels to promote the bar and its offerings.
Employee Management:
* Recruit, train, and supervise bar staff,
creating a positive and productive work environment.
* Schedule shifts and manage labor costs
effectively.
* Conduct regular staff meetings and provide
ongoing training to ensure high standards of service and knowledge.
The skills you’ll be sharing with us:

supervisory role in a similar setting
* Prior experience managing
a team
* Good knowledge of customer
care and complaint handling
* Barista experience
* Computer literate
