Location: South Anston, Sheffield
Salary: Up to £70,000 per annum inclusive of bonuses
Hours: Full-time
Shift Pattern: Flexible with weekend availability
About Havenbrook Care
Havenbrook Care is opening a brand-new children's home in April 2025, designed to provide a safe, nurturing, and inspiring environment for two children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. We believe every child deserves the opportunity to thrive, feel valued, and achieve their full potential. We are now looking for a dynamic, experienced, and compassionate Registered Children's Home Manager to lead this exciting new service from the ground up.
The Role
As our Registered Manager, you will work closely with the Responsible Individual to:
* Lead the registration process with Ofsted and ensure full compliance with the Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and the Quality Standards. - Oversee the setup of the home, implementing robust policies, procedures, and systems to ensure high-quality care delivery. - Recruit, induct, and develop a motivated, skilled staff team who share our values. - Create a culture of warmth, consistency, and ambition for the children in our care. - Maintain a safe, welcoming environment that supports positive outcomes and personal growth for children with complex needs.
About You
We are seeking someone who is both commercially astute and deeply compassionate – a leader who can balance operational excellence with a genuine commitment to making a difference in young lives.
Essential Criteria:
* Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management (Children & Young People) or Level 4 in Residential Childcare. - Minimum 5 years' experience in residential childcare, including at least 1 year as a Registered Manager. - Excellent working knowledge of Ofsted's Social Care Common Inspection Framework
(SCCIF). - Strong understanding of safeguarding, child protection, and risk management. - Proven ability to recruit, train, and retain a high-performing team. - Resilient, tenacious, and able to respond flexibly to challenges, including occasional evening and weekend work.
