About the Opportunity
Are you an experienced financial planner looking for a more meaningful, people-focused role where your voice truly matters?
My client is a small, independent financial planning firm based in Wakefield, built on a foundation of clear advice, honest communication, and lasting client relationships. Unlike larger institutions, this company is not driven by product sales, instead guided by the individual needs of each client.
With over 20 years of experience trading in the industry, the longevity speaks for itself.
As part of an Employee Ownership Trust (EOT), the business is structured to reward loyalty and contribution, while fostering a collaborative, long-term culture where every employee has a genuine stake in the success of the firm.
What Makes This Opportunity Different?
* Competitive starting salary: Up to £60,000 Basic.
* Employee Ownership: After a qualifying period, you’ll become part of the EOT—helping grow the business while sharing in its success.
* Profit Sharing: Where turnover and profits allow, tax-free bonuses of up to £3,600 per year are distributed quarterly.
* Job Security & Stability: Our EOT structure promotes sustainable growth and long-term client relationships.
* Your Voice Matters: Employees are encouraged to contribute to the direction and decisions of the firm through structured feedback and representation channels.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver independent financial advice across a wide range of areas including pensions, investments, estate planning, protection, and tax strategy
* Build trusted, long-term relationships with clients, focused on their goals—not sales targets
* Conduct detailed fact-finds and develop personalised, compliant financial plans
* Stay informed about market developments and regulatory updates
* Work both independently and collaboratively in a supportive, client-first environment
What We're Looking For
* A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a financial planning or advisory role
* Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (or equivalent)
* A strong ethical approach with a genuine desire to do the right thing for clients
* Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
* The ability to manage an existing client bank or develop new client relationships
* A collaborative mindset and willingness to be part of a small, close-knit team
Why Join?
This is more than just a job—it’s an opportunity to be part of a firm where your work has real impact, and your efforts are recognised and rewarded. If you're passionate about providing truly independent advice and want to be part of a business that values people over products, we’d love to hear from you.
