A vibrant Mixed School in Richmond seeks a passionate and talented Music Teacher to join our dynamic Performing Arts department. We are looking for an educator who can inspire a love of music in students of all abilities and contribute to our rich musical life.
* About Our Learning Community: Our school provides a welcoming and inclusive environment with a strong commitment to the arts. The Music department is well-equipped with practice rooms, recording facilities, and a range of instruments, fostering both individual and ensemble performance.
* About the Role:
o Deliver engaging and varied Music lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, covering music theory, history, composition, and performance.
o Develop and implement stimulating lesson plans that cater to diverse musical interests and abilities.
o Assess student progress through practical performances, compositions, and written work, providing constructive feedback.
o Direct and conduct school ensembles, choirs, and instrumental groups.
o Contribute to the organization of school concerts and musical events.
* Ideal Candidate:
o Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Music.
o A strong knowledge of music theory, history, and performance practices across different genres.
o Proficiency in playing at least one musical instrument.
o Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
o A passion for inspiring students through music and fostering their musical talents.
