Franchise Operations Manager
Location: Remote (UK-based)
Hours: 5 days, 9am–5pm (negotiable)
Salary: Competitive, based on experience
About The Mum Club
At The Mum Club, we’re building a national network of community-led events for mums through our growing franchise model. As we continue to scale, we’re looking for a strategic, solutions-driven Franchise Operations Manager to oversee recruitment, performance, compliance, and the continued success of our franchise network.
This role will play a key part in ensuring our franchisees are set up to thrive, with the right structure, systems, and support in place.
The Role
As Franchise Operations Manager, you will take ownership of the franchise process from recruitment, onboarding, contract compliance, renewals, and performance tracking. A central part of your role will be to review and strengthen our existing franchise support system, identifying what’s working, where improvements can be made, and helping to implement changes that enhance the experience for every franchisee.
You will work closely with, and provide leadership to, the Franchise Coordinator who remains the main point of contact for day-to-day queries and operational admin. Your role will complement and support theirs, bringing in a broader view and ensuring our systems are scalable and sustainable for long-term growth.

Key Responsibilities
1. Franchise Recruitment & Onboarding
Manage end-to-end recruitment, from applications to interviews and offers
Oversee onboarding and training processes for new franchisees
Ensure franchise contracts are properly issued and adhered to
2. Contract & Compliance Management
Track contract terms, renewals, and terminations
Maintain accurate records and ensure legal compliance
Liaise with management and legal teams to update agreements as needed
3. Franchise Support System & Strategy
Evaluate and strengthen the overall franchise support framework
Identify areas for improvement in processes, training, and tools
Collaborate with HQ and the Franchise Coordinator to enhance support delivery
4. Performance Tracking & Intervention
Monitor franchisee performance.
Identify and support underperforming areas with structured action plans
Provide insight and strategy for improving event performance and engagement
5. Renewals & Growth Planning
Lead the franchise renewal process and assess suitability for continuation
Support HQ in identifying new territories and growth opportunities
About You
Highly organised with strong attention to detail
Comfortable working with contracts and compliance
Experienced in managing people and processes
Strategic and data-led in decision making
A confident communicator, especially during challenging conversations
Proactive, adaptable, and collaborative
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment where adaptability and initiative are key.
Preferred Experience
Background in franchise, multi-site operations, or business support
Strong contract and performance management experience
Proficient in Excel, Google Sheets, and CRM tools
Experience improving operational systems or frameworks
