Key Responsibilities
* Lead and develop the Hygiene Team to ensure completion of hygiene schedules to the highest standard.
* Maintain and improve hygiene, safety, environmental and quality standards across the site.
* Support Engineering and Production with line set‑up, deep cleans and maintenance.
* Review and enhance hygiene practices, procedures and equipment to meet legal and customer requirements.
* Manage training, audits, documentation and supplier liaison for cleaning chemicals and equipment.
* Communicate hygiene standards across departments and support cross‑functional teams and audits.
* Ensure compliance with Quality, Health & Safety and customer requirements; support the Head of Technical as needed.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in a similar hygiene leadership role within food manufacturing or FMCG.
* Strong understanding of hygiene, cleaning chemicals, COSHH and food safety standards.
* Excellent leadership, communication and team development skills.
* Ability to work cross‑functionally with engineering, production, quality and technical teams.
* Experience in audit preparation and customer‑facing hygiene documentation.
* A proactive, solutions‑oriented mindset and commitment to continuous improvement.
* Can work 4 on 4 off nights & days.
