Multi-Skilled Engineer - Night Shift Location: Diss, Norfolk Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 per annum Shifts: 4 on / 4 off | 12-hour night shifts Industry: FMCG Manufacturing Compass Point Recruitment is partnering with a well-established FMCG manufacturing business to recruit a Multi-Skilled Engineer for their busy and dynamic production site in Diss. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking company where your engineering expertise will play a key role in maintaining high production standards and minimising downtime on site. Key Responsibilities: • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance to ensure equipment operates efficiently • Rapidly respond to breakdowns, identify faults, and reduce operational disruption • Ensure all work is completed to Health & Safety, Quality, and Food Safety standards • Maintain accurate maintenance records and handovers • Use Pirana CMMS to monitor and optimise equipment performance • Support and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the site • Maintain excellent housekeeping standards and foster teamwork within the factory What We're Looking For: • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (e.g. BTEC, ONC) • Proven experience in FMCG maintenance engineering, ideally within food production • Strong fault-finding skills and a calm, solutions-focused approach under pressure • Knowledge of HACCP and, ideally, the 17th Edition Wiring Regulations • A team player with excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude Benefits: • Competitive £50,000 - £55,000 salary • Overtime opportunities • 28 days holiday (including bank holidays) • Annual profit-related bonus • Long service awards • Ongoing training and development If you're a motivated Multi-Skilled Engineer looking to join a high-performing team in a thriving manufacturing environment, we'd love to hear from you.
